Well, I was planning on writing a long post thanking everyone and reminiscing about the last 5 years that I worked on this project. Long story short: bad stuff happened during testing, and I've been busy fixing it over the last few days.
You guys probably just want to get to the good part anyways, right?
So without further ado, we're proud to announce the first release of the Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love English translation patch!

ReplyDeleteI've been quietly following from the shadows since the project was announced and this is my first time commenting. Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland is one of my absolute favorite DS games (and a criminally underappreciated one!) so imagine my joy of hearing that someone is translating the sequel that got left overseas. And now the wait is over!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe this is finally out! Really excited to try this out soon. Been watching this project for many years, and I'm so glad I was wrong when I thought it died a few years ago! Might wait to play it until I get an R4 card. And I might play through Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland to prepare myself as well. Overall, awesome job guys! It's been awesome seeing the work you've put into this. I'm sure it's nice knowing that all your hard work has finally paid off and the translation is finally out. ReplyDeleteWhile testing on DesMuMe (and the Wii U VC emulator), the game doesn't seem to want to go past the name entry screen.
Is this a problem any of you have encountered before? It certainly looks like copy protection.

ReplyDeleteFirst, thank you for all your hard work, I've really been enjoying this. But second, I'm playing on OpenEmu for Mac, and the game consistently freezes shortly after Lion's flashback at the castle. I've tried ballooning out and restarting the emulation, I'm not sure what else to do.

DeleteThe bug has been fixed - as soon as we finish up some other stuff that we want to incorporate into the update, a new patch will be released. (It should be out within 24 hours at the latest)
